Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is paintless dent repair (PDR)?

Paintless dent repair (PDR) is a method that removes dents by gently working the metal back to its original shape from behind the panel, or with glue-pull tabs on the surface. It keeps your original factory paint with no filler and no respray. See our paintless dent repair page for details.

  • Does PDR work on hail damage?

Yes. Hail typically leaves many shallow, rounded dents that PDR is very well suited to, since the paint is usually still intact. Learn more on our hail damage repair page.

  • Will PDR affect or damage my paint?

No. PDR works the existing metal without repainting, so your original factory finish stays on the car. There's no filler, no sanding and no respray, which is exactly what makes the repair invisible.

  • How long does a dent repair take?

Most repairs are same-day. Larger or heavy hail jobs can take a little longer, and we'll give you a realistic timeframe when we see the damage. See our process page for how a visit works.

  • Is PDR cheaper than a body shop?

Usually, yes. Because PDR uses no paint, filler or replacement parts, it's typically cheaper and faster than a conventional body shop. More on our cost page.

  • Will my dent come out to 100%?

Often, yes, but not always. Shallow dents with intact paint usually come out completely, while larger or sharper dents improve a lot but may not reach a perfect 100%. We're honest about the likely result before we start.

  • Can you fix a dent if the paint is cracked or chipped?

Cracked or chipped paint needs more than PDR alone, because PDR reshapes metal but doesn't restore a broken finish. We'll still take a look and tell you honestly what PDR can and can't do for that panel.

  • Do you handle insurance claims?

No. At this stage we keep things simple with straightforward out-of-pocket pricing, and we don't process insurance claims. This keeps the visit quick and the pricing easy to understand.

  • How much does dent repair cost?

It depends on the size, number and location of the dents, so there's no flat rate. We give free, no-obligation estimates, and you can see how pricing works on our cost page.

  • Do I need an appointment?

You can drop by the shop during our hours (9am to 6pm) or reach out first to line up a time. Sending a photo ahead lets us give you a quick quote before you come in. See contact for details.

  • Do you offer mobile or on-site repair?

We're a shop-based service, so repairs happen at our NE Calgary location. On-site service is available for trade and dealer work only. You can find us at 1725 32 Ave NE #143.

  • Which areas do you serve?

We serve all of Calgary — NE, NW, SE and SW — plus Airdrie, Okotoks, Cochrane and Chestermere. There's one shop in NE Calgary that customers drive to.

  • Can you fix door dings and parking-lot dents?

Yes. Door dings and parking-lot dents are ideal candidates for PDR, and tight body-line dents are one of our specialties. See our parking and door-ding repair page.

  • Does PDR help my car's resale value?

It can help, because PDR removes dents while keeping your original factory paint, which buyers and appraisers tend to prefer over a resprayed panel. A clean, dent-free car simply presents better.

  • How do I get a quote?

Send us a photo of the damage for a quick quote, or drop by the shop for a free, no-obligation estimate in person. Head to our contact page or call (825) 747-7909.

  • What's the difference between PDR and a traditional body shop repair?

PDR reshapes the existing metal and keeps your factory paint, while a traditional body shop often fills, sands and repaints the panel. That's why PDR is usually faster, cheaper and leaves no paintwork to match.

  • How big a dent can PDR fix?

PDR handles everything from tiny door dings to widespread hail damage, as long as the paint is intact. Very large or sharp dents can still improve significantly, though they may not come out perfectly — we'll tell you what to expect first.

  • Can you repair dents on any part of the car?

PDR works on most panels — doors, fenders, hoods, roofs and quarter panels — wherever we can access the back of the metal or use glue-pull tabs. Some spots near edges, braces or seams are harder to reach, and we'll let you know if a dent is in a tricky location.
